OUR FARMS
Rooted in the heart of the Overberg, our fruit farming company, Groenewald Agri, is proud to cultivate around 950 hectares of apple and pear orchards. Each season we carefully harvest approximately 30 000 tonnes of fruit, comprising a wide range of apple and pear cultivars.
We take great care in growing and handling our fruits to ensure the highest quality and taste for our customers, and eventually consumers all over the world.
OUBOS
Nestled between the majestic Riviersonderend Mountains, lies a fruit farm like few others. Surrounded by a rich diversity of fynbos flora and a lush indigenous forest, Oubos boasts a unique microclimate that allows it to produce some of the highest quality fruits in the Western Cape.
The farm is home to a variety of apples and pears, but because of its unique climate, preference is given to bicoloured apple cultivars. Orchards are carefully tended by skilled Oubos staff, who use sustainable farming practices to ensure that the fruits are of the highest quality.

OUR OTHER FARMS
We are privileged to operate several farms in the beautiful and fertile Overberg region.
Our farms Noordhoek, Soetmelksvlei, Cluny, Oakdene, and Sunnyside are all situated along the Sonderend River. Theewaterskloof and Boskloof are positioned between them and our packhouse. Together, they specialise in growing a wide variety of apple and pear cultivars and remain a vital part of Betko’s supply chain.

OUR GROWERS
In addition to our own farming units, we receive, pack and market fruit from several apple and pear growers in the Villiersdorp and Vyeboom areas. Our growers make up 30% of Betko’s total annual intake.
