Betko runs a combination of traditional and state-of-the-art sorting and packing facilities, processing an average of 370 tons of fruit per day. Water quality is essential and is obtained through two Ultrafiltration Water Treatment plants to treat the raw feed water, and a Media Filtration Water Treatment plant for the circulation of the packhouse water. Optimal storage conditions are crucial to meet year-round demand. We store our fruit on-site in CA-Capable refrigeration rooms with a capacity of 89 000 fruit bins.

Nestled beside breath-taking cliffs and boasting one of the oldest Oak forests in South Africa, Oubos “Old Bush” is the original family farm that evolved from crop fields to magnificent orchards.
What makes this farm so special is its unique microclimate. Cliffsides, Oak forests and hilly terrain combine to give this area above average rainfall on extremely fertile soil.

Noordhoek “North Corner” is situated close to Oubos and boasts a variety of cultivars including Sassy, Royal Gala, Cosmic Crips and Cripps Pink & Red.

Situated in the Overberg Region along the Sonderend River, Sunnyside Farm has well established apple and pear orchards. The farm has supplied Betko with fruit since 2002 and continues to be an integral part of our supply chain.

Situated on the banks of the Sonderend River near the iconic tourism town of Greyton, Soekmelksvlei “Sweet Milk Valley” is not only picturesque, but also a high yielding farm. Soetmelksvlei has supplied Betko with fruit for over a decade and continues to be an integral part of our supply chain.

CLUNY
To meet the growing demand for premium apples, Betko acquired Cluny Farm. Situated along the broadest section of the Sonderend River, Cluny farm has yielded high-value cultivars including Cripp’s Pink & Cripp’s Red since 2020.
OAK DEAN
Acquired in 2017, Oak Dean farm was developed until 2019. Betko will harvest its first yield in 2023.
